These
works represent a bride between the diverse techniques and styles I work
in. I'm learning to express the imagery, lines, forms and colors of my
traditional paintings through the very powerful and nearly infinitely
maleable medium of digital art tools. This is allowing me to explore and
express these concepts and visions with more flexibility and fewer restrictions.
It allows me to try different things, hone and adjust and very precisely
balance elements, colors and compostion in a way that was never possible
for me before.
While there are
no "originals" of these pieces, as I generally start with a
very primitive thumbnail sketch and build the finished piece completely
on the computer, I will be making these available soon as high quality,
limited edition prints on fine art papers. I may also do some very limited
editions with hand-painted enhancements, utilizing some of the irridescent
pigments and media that I've been wanting to explore. |
